I totally love teaching phonics and any idea that comes along to help me make the learning process even more enjoyable is something I look at with great interest. That’s why this idea seems so great. It’s obviously not for beginners, but once students have mastered their initial, middle and terminal sounds in words this would be great as it introduces concepts of non-phonemic spelling. I love it and can’t wait for the opportunity to start using it. This is a great way to introduce spelling with young learners. The picture gives the clue to the letter. This means that students must have the rudiments of initial sound recognition and the grapheme-phoneme relationship must have already been established.
